- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆We had spent most of Saturday looking for a nice little place for lunch in the town of Mudgee. We were looking for charming yet affordable. Not even ten minutes outside of town is the Cellar by Gilbert. It's a picturesque little vineyard come cheese factory that overlooks some beautiful farmland. We came, we saw, we had spicy pumpkin soup. It was rich yet not overly filling. The dollop of sour cream and a stylish sprinkle of nuts and spices were welcome accompaniments. We also bought two of their cheeses. The staff were very polite and accomodating. Definitely a must see for anyone driving through.By Jackson Fysh, July 14, 2017
