- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆As far as Italian goes, the food here is OK. It's not fantastic and has swayed a little more to Australian tastes than keeping a traditional Italian fare. The portions are enormous! And the vale in this respect is good. The staff are very friendly and obliging. Corkage is free of charge and the restaurant is unlicensed. The kitchen location is extremely poor, being open to the restaurant, the noise and fluorescent lighting is very much an atmosphere killer. The restaurant would be vastly improved if this was addressed. Given we spend a lot of time in Mudgee, would we go back? Probably.By Aaron McGrath, January 05, 2017
